The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane is a moderate-strength, water-free retinol serum in squalane that targets general signs of skin aging. Retinol improves the look of fine lines and evens skin texture and tone; squalane, a moisturising agent naturally found in skin, helps it withstand the drying effects of retinol. The brand suggests starting with Retinol 0.2% and working up to 0.5% and 1%. 30 ml dropper bottle.
How to use: apply a few drops to the face in the evening. Do not use with other retinoid products. Use sun protection during the day. Retinol can cause irritation, redness and peeling, especially around the eyes and mouth, while skin builds tolerance. Not for use when pregnant or breastfeeding.
